The Francisca Adaku Foundation for African Women’s Empowerment (FAFAWE) is a registered charity incorporated in 2016 to empower underprivileged and marginalized women in Africa.
The foundation is the brainchild of Dr. Francisca Adaku, a veteran of an educator with over thirty years of multinational experience. Knowing the sheer, unstoppable power of education, she recognised an opportunity to make an impact in her local community in Imo State, Nigeria. She envisioned FAFAWE as a vehicle to transform women’s lives by empowering women to empower themselves. She created initiatives to address the educational, financial and emotional needs of her beneficiaries. Now two years later, that vision has become a reality.
